Athens

With a recorded history of 3,000 years, Athens is the capital of Greece and among the most interesting places in the world. Actually Athens Greece is the best destination for a city break as it has amazing sightseeing to visit, including the world-famous Acropolis with the Temple of Parthenon, the New Acropolis Museum, the Theatre of Herodes Atticus, the Ancient Agora, the Roman Agora and others. After a full day walking around Athens city, do not miss a drink at night in the many hot spots. Located in a central spot in Greece, the city is also very convenient for day trips to archaeological sites in the mainland and close islands in the Aegean Sea.

Athens Day 1

On your arrival at Athens airport you will be greeted by our English speaking transfer driver and you will be taken to your inner Athens hotel in the comfort of an air conditioned luxury car. Athens has an array of amazing hotels, and this package has the cream of the crop, and we know you will thoroughly enjoy your two night stay in Athens. Once you have checked and freshened up, the rest of the day is yours to explore Athens on your own. We suggest that you head for the Plaka area, close to your hotel and filled with shops and restaurants for you to discover. Return to your hotel after an evening of fun and discovery.

Athens Day 2

After an early breakfast you will be collected from your hotel for your tour of Athens. See the sights from the comfort on a modern air conditioned coach where our English speaking guide will take you to the principal modern and classical sites in Athens. From the austere beauty of Syntagma Square and the tomb of the Unknown Soldier to the Olympic Stadium, home to the Modern Olympic Games, the tour then visits the Temple of Zeus and finally, the Acropolis, that shines like a beacon over Athens. Wander around this most famous of ancient sites, taking in the amazing Parthenon, among other sites. The Museum at the Acropolis is also filled with amazing artefacts there for the discovery. You will be returned to you hotel in the afternoon, after which, the rest of the day is yours to do as you please. For the history buffs, the National Archaeological Museum is well worth a visit. The shopping in Athens around Omonia Square is as good as any in the world. Or you may choose to find a local taverna with traditional Greek music and enjoy your evening in this very traditional way. Athens is also home to many fine dining restaurants and clubs. You have an endless choice of things you can do.

Athens Day 3

After breakfast, depending on the time of your flight, you may be able to do some more shopping and exploring. After you have checked out of the hotel our driver will transfer you to the airport in plenty of time for your flight back home.
